Standing with local churches as they serve communities impacted by the earthquakes.

On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck northern Venezuela, causing loss of life, displacement and widespread damage to homes, buildings, roads, health services and educational facilities. Thousands of people were forced into temporary accommodation as search, rescue and recovery efforts continued.

Since then, Nazarene churches and volunteers have been responding with practical assistance, compassionate care and the hope of Christ.

Local Churches Putting Faith in Action

Since the earthquakes, Nazarene churches and volunteers across Venezuela have continued serving affected communities.

Through three emergency responses, families and individuals have received food, water, hygiene supplies, medicines, blankets, clothing and other essential items, along with emotional and spiritual support. Assistance has also reached children in shelters and children receiving hospital care.

All five Nazarene districts in Venezuela have mobilized, helping collect donations, coordinate transportation, volunteer and distribute assistance.

FROM EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO RECOVERY

Recovery Takes Time. Presence Matters.

As communities move from immediate emergency response toward recovery, significant needs remain. Families continue to need food, safe water, hygiene supplies, medicines and shelter, while many are also facing displacement, trauma and the loss of homes and livelihoods.

Because local Nazarene churches are rooted in these communities, they can remain present—walking alongside families, responding as needs change and providing emotional and spiritual care throughout the recovery process.

This is Faith in Action.
